Conduit selection depends on the installation environment and local code requirements. EMT (Electrical Metallic Tubing) is the most common choice for exposed indoor and outdoor installations — lightweight, easy to bend, and widely accepted by code. PVC conduit is ideal for underground and wet locations where corrosion resistance is critical. Rigid metal conduit (RMC/IMC) provides maximum protection for exposed outdoor and industrial applications.
